Jon is an experienced M&A, investment and corporate strategy professional in the games industry, having worked on over $2B of transactions in his career to date. He has closed multiple headline deals at every stage of a gaming company’s life, having bought, sold, funded, advised and publicly listed games businesses around the globe.
Jon began his career in games at Jagex in Cambridge, where he worked on the turn-around and sale of the company to Chinese conglomerate, Fukong Entertainment, and its subsequent listing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Jon later joined London Venture Partners; a leading early-stage venture capital firm focused on the games industry with $14B+ in value creation across its portfolio, where he worked on investments in some of the world’s most promising gaming start-ups, such as AppOnboard, Klang, Singularity Six, Bunch, Hadean, Coda and Polystream.
Jon is currently the Senior Director of Corporate Strategy and Advisor to the CEO at Huuuge Games, where he is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, and defining — alongside Huuuge’s founder and CEO — the company strategy required to connect a billion players around the world. In the past three months, Jon was responsible for the acquisitions of Double Star OY in Helsinki, and Playable Platform in Amsterdam.
